Child Care Online
Child Care Online is a marketing tool for early care and education programs to showcase their program and professionalism to families searching for child care. It helps save families time by narrowing their online child care search to programs that best meet their needs.
The Two Parts of Child Care Online
1. The provider’s Program Profile: Child Care Online provides a way for you to upload detailed text and photos to create an online Program Profile that families can review to learn more about the services you offer.
2. The family’s child care search: Families who visit the child care resource and referral website complete an online search form to identify their individual child care needs. After the “Search” button is clicked, they are provided a list of child care programs. Families can then view information about a variety of programs to help them select the one that best meets their needs. If you have created a Program Profile, they will be able to click on a link and review the information you have posted.
Why should I participate?
The profile serves as a marketing tool for your child care program by greatly expanding your outreach to families seeking child care. It provides families with a ‘window’ into your program as well as an opportunity to showcase your professionalism.
Who will have access to the
Program Profiles?
Through your local Child Care Aware® Referral agency, Program Profiles
are maintained on a database and made available to families who visit the Child
Care Aware® website to search for child care.
Who can have a Program Profile?
Programs that are licensed by the Kansas Department of Health and
Environment and run a full day program are eligible. Programs also need to keep their vacancy updates
current (updates occur every quarter) in order to keep an active profile.
What does a Program Profile
include?
Your Program Profile will include information about your program in a variety of categories as well as six photos that allow families to view various aspects of your program. The categories include program information, director (or provider), staff (or family and others in home), indoor environment, outdoor environment, meals, rest time, fees, yearly schedule and hours of operation, and special services.
Who establishes my online
capability and manages the program at the CCR&R and what is their role?
A Profile Manager at Child Care Aware® of Northeast & North Central
Kansas is assigned to assist you. Their primary role is to create your online access
and provide support as you develop your Program Profile.
Is the website secure?
The entire website and application is secure for data entry for both the Child Care Aware® staff and the provider users.
